Clay firefighters battle early morning blaze

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Clay firefighters are investigating an early morning fire.
It sparked around 2:30 a.m. in the basement of a home on Mayflower Road. When crews arrived, they quickly got it under control.
The homeowner was inside the house at the time of the fire. There were no reported injuries.
