SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Clay High School marching band is heading to Iowa to perform at the Iowa Steak Fry, a major Democratic campaign event held in Des Moines.
The band members will be introducing Mayor Pete Buttigieg for his campaign.
The mayor's campaign provided a charter bus for the band and will be providing them with food as well.
Charity Swank, a senior at Clay High School, says, "It's a once in a lifetime event. I don't think anyone else my age is actually getting to go do these things, so getting to do it, you get to learn a lot of stuff and I think it's going to be really cool."
After the bands performance, they will head back to South Bend.
