CMHU investigating shooting on Liston Street

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit has released the name of the man who was killed in a shooting Monday morning, along with the names and photos of two people they would like to speak with regarding the investigation.

South Bend Police responded to the 1500 block of Liston Street around 4:30 a.m. for a ShotSpotter alert.

When they arrived, they found 18-year-old Elijah Torres deceased from multiple gunshot wounds, reports said.

The homicide unit is asking for the public's help locating two people who investigators would like to speak with in connection with the investigation. They have been identified as 20-year-old Ernest Clark and 19-year-old Ernysia Clark.
