Coach Brian Kelly gets contract extension

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Good news for Brian Kelly fans.

Notre Dame announced Tuesday it has extended the head football coach's contract through 2016. Kelly has two consecutive 8-5 seasons and is 1-1 in bowl games.

Coach Kelly thanked the school's administration, and said he and his family are blessed to be at Notre Dame.
