Cold Halloween with some spooky snow showers on the way

NOW: Cold Halloween with some spooky snow showers on the way

There might be more tricks than treats in Tuesday's Halloween forecast, as we are setting up for cold, snowy weather.

Out the door it is dry but a little breezy with temperatures in the mid 20s. The breeze has kept us from forming a lot of frost early this morning, but you might find some on your car windshield. Wind chills are in the teens out the door.

We could start to see a few scattered snow showers as early as lunchtime today. Snow or a rain/snow mix will continue on and off through the evening (including during trick-or-treat hours).

Wind gusts 25 mph are possible, which could blow the snow around a bit as it falls and create periods of low visibility. Remember to watch carefully for trick-or-treaters while you are driving in the falling snow this evening.

Snow will likely have a tough time sticking to roads, but it could begin to accumulate in grassy areas.

Temperatures only warm into the upper 30s today, but it will feel like we are in the 20s the majority of the day with the wind.

Precipitation should taper off early Wednesday. Clouds clear in the second half of the day.

Temperatures are in the low 40s tomorrow, then continue to warm back to the 50s by the end of the week and remain in the 50s for the weekend.

Today: Breezy and cold with rain/snow showers starting in afternoon. High 38.

Tonight: Scattered snow showers. Low 28.

Wednesday: Few AM showers. Clouds early with sun late. High 42.

Thursday: Mostly sunny. High 48.
