The weather turns colder and messier to end the week. Thursday clouds return as the wind turns to the northwest. Friday is the messy day a mix of rain and snow is likely, slushy snow could accumulate at times but the warm ground and temperatures just above freezing likely prevent lasting accumulation. Friday will also be windy, with gusts topping 40 mph. The weather clears for the weekend and temperatures warm into the 40s.
