College Football Hall of Fame hosts 'Clean Your Files Day'

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- It was out with the old on Wednesday at the College Football Hall of Fame!

Integra held a shredding drive so people could drop off old bank statements, medical records and other personal documents.

Organizers said more people stop by every year.

Former South Bend Mayor Steve Luecke even rolled through the line.

"It's really great, an opportunity for offices to clear out files that they no longer need, but for home owners as well. You know I have a little extra time on my hand right now. So there's a number of old stacks of paper I've been going through," said Luecke.

Everything that is shredded is recycled.

Organizers said they have seen some weird stuff over the years, including golf balls, glass vases and collectibles.
