Common Area at Mishawaka Library opens Monday

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library’s renovations at the Mishawaka branch are now complete.

The Common Area at the library has been under renovation since March and it is scheduled to reopen to the public on Monday.

In the renovation of the common area guests will find a new gathering place. The space is designed to accommodate groups and the furniture will allow for expanded group gatherings.

There are three glass partitions inside the Common Area that will provide a workspace for group size of three or more.

Also included in the renovated area are power ports and USB charging ports.

The seating area will be on a first come first serve basis.

The branch has a second renovation planned for later this fall to create an official designated quiet zone area.

The Mishawaka branch of the library is located at the corner of Lincolnway East and Church street.
