Quiet and sunny rest of the week, but more rain this weekend
MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The coronavirus has curbed most spring activities, but in order to follow travel restrictions and keep people safe, the city of Mishawaka and Crossroads Church got creative for a virtual Easter egg competition.
“We’re just asking families to decorate their homes with eggs or some sort of relevant decoration,” Mishawaka Parks & Recreation Special Events Director Brittni Gendron said of the campaign.
“You take a picture, post to the event page on our Facebook page, and then we are going to pick five homes that have been thoughtfully decorated in those five families will receive Easter baskets for each child in the home.”
The contest is currently open to any Mishawaka kids and families until Wednesday at 1 p.m.
South Bend’s River Park neighborhood is throwing a similar event as well.
