Community members in Elkhart come together to clean up river

On Saturday morning, community members gathered for the Elkhart River Clean Up. More than 30 volunteers showed up ready to make a difference.
Some went along the river in canoes, while other joined on foot; their main point was cleaning debris from the river.
All ages were welcome to this event, which ended around noon.
This event, hosted by Elkhart Public Works & Utilities, the Elkhart Environmental Group, and the Elkhart Environmental Center, will span from the EEC to Waterfall Drive.
