MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Concord pitcher Joey Hauger shutout Goshen 3-0 en route to sectional title.
After taking down the back-to-back state champs Penn Kingsmen, the Concord Minutemen kept the ball rolling in the final round of sectionals.
It took 6 hit, 3 runs, and sophomore pitcher Joey Hauger to punch their ticket to Regionals.
"It all comes down to defense pitching and defense. That's what our coach preaches to us," Hauger said. "And I got those guys to back me up with every single pitch they get the outs they really do I don't strike out a lot of people I got them to back me up, they get the outs," Hauger added.
"We took we took down you know Penn who's a powerhouse in the state and then you know, you don't want to come have a letdown and they didn't they come ready to play," said Concord Head Coach Greg Hughes.
Concord will play in Regionals June 1st. Their opponent is to be determined.
