ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Congresswoman Jackie Walorski visited the St. Joseph Health System’s vaccine clinic Wednesday as vaccine eligibility opens up to Hoosiers ages 16 and older.
While visiting, Walorski said she was impressed by the efficiency of clinics in the area. The Health System gave out around 450 shots at today’s clinic.
“Those vaccines, as they come in, they get dispersed at the state level through the Department of Health and dispersed locally. And the chain that we have set up here, if our local hospitals, for example, if this one or any other place that was providing vaccine runs into a problem and doesn’t have [the] vaccine, then that would put me in the phone call movement to see where the vaccines are and if we need them, we get them,” she said.
Walorski also said she vows to assist in getting more vaccines for Hoosiers in Michiana.
