Connecticut couple celebrates longest marriage

CONNECTICUT. -- A Connecticut couple have the longest marriage currently in the United States after 80 years of being together.

The two tied the knot on Nov. 25, 1932 but their marriage almost never happened.

Ann Betar's family had arranged for her to marry someone else. But she took off with John and they eloped.

John is 101-years-old and Ann is 97.

Together, they have five kids, 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
