NORTH LIBERTY, Ind. — After over 20 years an end is in sight for construction of the Potato Creek Inn. This project started around 2001 but after a lot of back and forth and issues landing the funding, the start date kept getting pushed back.
They were finally able to break ground in October of 2023, and now you can really start to see the full vision.
This space will have over 100 hotel rooms, a conference/ballroom space, aquatic center, and more.
This new project is the first of its kind since 1939 and will offer a modern touch while still enhancing the park's features.
Indiana State Parks Director Brandt Baughman says the goal is for construction to be completed by late next spring but after that they will still need to furnish, train staff, and complete other preparations before the doors can really open to the public.
