Construction to begin at North Pointe Plaza

ELKHART, Ind.- Construction is set to begin today at North Pointe Plaza in Elkhart.

City officials say the space right off the toll road is the front door of city and needs to be revamped. Crews will be adding a round-about, improving the curbs, sidewalks and sewer lines, They will also make the intersection near North Pointe easier to get through.

Right now, over 70 percent of the retail space in the plaza is empty. The city hopes these improvements will help attract big businesses.
