Skies will be cloudy for the South Bend Cubs opener this evening, but we should stay dry. Temperatures will be stuck around 50 degrees with a bit of a northerly breeze making it feel cool for early May. Skies will clear overnight, allowing temperatures to bottom out near 40 degrees to start Wednesday.
We'll see plenty of sunshine on Wednesday, but temperatures will still finish 10 degrees below normal by the afternoon. Highs will only make it into the middle 50s. Clouds return on Thursday with a chance of showers. Temperatures will stay in the 50s on Thursday and Friday. A few more showers can't be ruled out on Friday before skies clear at night. Frost looks possible on Friday night into Saturday morning as lows dip into the middle 30s. We'll be slightly warmer for Mother's Day weekend. Saturday will be dry before showers move in at night into Mother's Day. A gradual warm-up will arrive next week.
