Cool tonight, sweltering this weekend

Temperatures rise through Saturday, and sweltering humidity a concern as the heat index rises above 100 and overnight lows bring little relief, staying very muggy in the mid-70s. Scattered showers and storms break the extreme heat Sunday but we’ll stay warm and muggy for the first week of July.

Tonight: Clearing skies, low of 62.

Thursday: Sunny, high of 86.

Friday: Mostly sunny, high of 92.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, high of 94.
