Costco will require customers to wear face coverings starting May 4

MISHAWAKA, Ind.— Costco members and guests will have to wear face coverings while inside of the store starting May 4, according to an update posted to the wholesale club’s website.

A mask or face covering that covers the mouth and nose at all times while inside of Costco stores will be required for everyone who is medically able to wear one.

Children under the age of two or individuals with medical conditions that render them unable to wear a mask are excluded from the requirement.

All Costco warehouses in the United States will allow no more than two people to enter the store with each membership card.

Social distancing measures inside of the store will remain in place.

The retailer is not accepting returns on items including toilet paper, bottled water, sanitizing wipes, paper towels, rice, and disinfecting spray.

Food from the food court are only available for takeout and seating is currently unavailable.
