Costumed girl shot after being mistaken for skunk

FREEDOM, Pa. -- In Pennsylvania, police said a costumed 9-year-old girl was mistaken for a skunk and accidentally shot.

It happened Saturday night outside of a Western Pennsylvania home during a Halloween party.

Police said the girl was wearing a black costume and a black hat with a white tassel when one of her relatives mistook her for a skunk and fired a shotgun hitting her in the shoulder.
