County Councilman charged with residential entry after 3 month investigation

LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana State Police served a county councilman with documents charging him with residential entry, which is a Level 6 Felony.
John Sullivan, 57, was under investigation since May.
Investigators discovered Sullivan was a councilman in LaPorte County. He allegedly entered a residence that was not his own in Wanatah, Ind.
Officials filed a charge of residential entry after probable cause was developed.
A warrant for Sullivan’s arrest was issued on Friday.
Sullivan voluntarily surrendered to LaPorte County Jail and posted a $750 bond.
