COVID-19 testing locations undergo changes in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.—While COVID-19 rates are lowering in Elkhart County due to increased vaccination rates, free rapid and PCR testing sites will remain available for individuals in the area. The hours and days of operation for these sites will be undergoing changes beginning Wednesday.

The free testing site located in Concord Mall will be closing permanently Wednesday.

A new drive-up location for free testing will open July 6 at Elkhart Central Fire Station. The station is located at 500 East Street in Elkhart, about 10 minutes north of Concord Mall on U.S. 331.

Hours of operation for this location will be Tuesday and Thursday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. They will also be open the first Saturday of every month 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Free testing will still be available in Goshen at the Center for Healing and Hope at 902 South Main Street, but hours will be changing.

The site will be closed July 5. Starting July 7, the new hours of operation will be Wednesday 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Monday and Friday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Appointments for these free testing sites in both Goshen and Elkhart can be made online here. Walk-ins are welcome at both locations.

On July 12, Elkhart Clinic will also be changing it’s hours of operation to Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. A physicians order is needed to make an appointment, and insurance is accepted.
