Crash at Michigan and Walter streets involved serious injuries, FACT says
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.— A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash in South Bend on Tuesday night, according to law enforcement officials.
On Tuesday around 10:45 p.m., officers were called to a crash involving a motorcycle and car at Michigan Street and Walter Street in South Bend.
The impact of the crash pushed the car into a utility pole and caused the motorcyclist to travel through the air for several feet before landing, officials said.
The driver of the car, an 18-year-old South Bend woman, suffered minor injuries.
The motorcyclist, a 33-year-old from South Bend, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Per protocol, the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team (FACT) was activated and is investigating the crash.
