WAYNE TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash that happened on M-51 Highway near Burmax Park on Tuesday at 4:22 p.m., according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

A 46-year-old Decatur man on a motorcycle was traveling north on M-51 when he crashed into the back of a vehicle that was slowing down to allow a car in front of them to turn, deputies said. 

The driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet, deputies said.

He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment. 

Investigators do not believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash

The crash remains under investigation.
