Crews respond to fire at South Bend store Sunday night

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Fire Department is investigating what caused a fire at a store on Elwood Avenue Sunday night.

Firefighters were called to the Kingdom Closet store just before 11:30 p.m. for the incident. At the scene, crews found heavy fire and smoke coming from the small property. The flames were found in the basement and on the first floor.

No firefighters were injured.

The department is still investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
