Cubs take on Giants in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO -- Before the game in San Francisco the Giants honored the ladies of the military as each player was able to greet an officer and hand them a signed ball.
Ex-Notre Dame player Jeff Samardzija came into the game winless in his first 10 starts this year despite having a league-low 1.42 earned run average.
Monday he finally picked up that first win as the Cubs beat the Giants 8 to 4.
