This evening will be mostly cloudy and a little humid as temperatures hang out near 80 degrees. While a quick shower is possible, rain does not look to be widespread.
A potentially dangerous heatwave begins on Saturday. From Saturday through Monday, temperatures will reach the middle 90s and feels like temperatures will be in the triple digits. Additionally, low temperatures will only fall into the middle 70s overnight Sunday morning through Tuesday morning. This feat is unprecedented in June in South Bend recorded history. This aspect of the heat wave will make things particularly hazardous for those who do not have access to air conditioning. Heat is the number one weather killer in the United States, so please: take this threat seriously and make plans now so you and your family can stay safe in this heat.
Temperatures will still be near 90 Tuesday and Wednesday, but storm chances start to increase that could help break the heat.
