Dangers of smoking hookah revealed

Hookahs may be considered social and relaxing but medical experts say it is harmful to your health.

Hookahs are water pipes used to smoke tobacco.

Hookahs are becoming increasingly popular here in the states.

Some believe it is safer than cigarettes but experts say that is not the case.

"You're getting more smoke during a Hookah session than you do from smoking a pack of cigarettes," said Michael Eriksen of the School of Public Health at Georgia State University.

Just like cigarettes, hookah use can lead to lung cancer, other cancers, as well as heart disease.

There is also a risk of infection when people share the same hookah mouthpiece.
