Daniels halts renovations at Purdue president's office

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Governor Mitch Daniels called to stop renovations at Purdue University.

The president's office is under construction but Daniels claims he did not know anything about the $380,000 project.

The governor emailed us a statement Tuesday afternoon.

In that, he says:

"I had nothing to do with it, didn't know about it, wasn't asked about it. Had I been asked about it, I would have let's not or let's not right now."

Daniels is set to become the president of Purdue in January when his term as governor ends.
