DETROIT—Michigan State Police in Metro Detroit shared dash cam video of an arrest made on Thursday following a pursuit.
Troopers were alerted of a domestic assault that had occurred in front of a Taylor Police officer on I-94 around 7 a.m., MSP said.
According to police, troopers then pursued the suspect vehicle, a red Jeep, and attempted a traffic stop on the exit to I-96.
MSP said the suspect vehicle sideswiped a patrol car and was boxed in by troopers on an exit ramp.
Police then took the suspect into custody without incident and turned him over to Taylor Police.
Two young children were in the suspect vehicle at the time of the incident, MSP said, and were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
In an update posted to their Twitter, MSP Metro Detroit said that no injuries were sustained in the incident.
Police released the dash cam video on Twitter Thursday afternoon and blurred out the suspect’s face, as formal charges had not been filed. The children’s voices at the end were also redacted by police.
