BENTON HARBOR, Mich. - The Benton Harbor Boys and Girls Club was treated to some fun entertainment and a Thanksgiving meal as part of Maytag's Day of Dependability, Thursday.
Volunteers from Maytag and Whirlpool Corporation served up food and fun at the club’s youth campus.
But organizers say it's about more than having a good time.
Alloyd Blackmon, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Benton Harbor, stated, "We really want our kids to know that they're part of a bigger community, even though they live here within Benton Harbor or live in some other community, that there are many individuals that really are geared to see them succeed."
The Day of Dependability started in 2019.
250 club members and staff joined in today's celebration.
