Day two of Fighting Irish training camp
MARION, Ind. -- The first two days of training camp are almost in the books for the Fighting Irish.
The Notre Dame football team headed south to Marion for this season's camp on Monday and got on the practice field that afternoon.
Helmets only for the first day but coach Kelly says he's already happy with what he's seen from the team.
"You look around, and there's a lot of talented players and there's a lot more depth than we've had since - at any time since I've been at Notre Dame," said Coach Brian Kelly on UND.com.
In just their first day on the field, Notre Dame says the team had more than 800 gallons of Gatorade.
The Irish open the regular season at home against Temple later this month.
