UPDATE: The Mishawaka Police Department reports the St. Joseph County Coroner's office has ruled this incident a suicide.

Police say efforts are still being made to positively identify the man.

ORIGINAL STORY: MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- At roughly 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, Mishawaka police responded to a call for a man down in an alley near the intersection of Linden and Home Street.

When officers arrived, they found a man lying in the alley. Shortly thereafter, he was pronounced dead on the scene.

His cause of death is still under investigation.
