Deadline to apply for Growing MI Business grant is March 31

The deadline for Michigan businesses to apply for the Growing MI Business Grant program is Thursday.

The state of Michigan will distribute up to $409 million of its American Rescue Plan Act to help businesses affected by the pandemic.

“As we continue growing our economy, I urge businesses to apply for the Growing MI Business Grant Program so they can get the support they need to thrive," said Governor Gretchen Whitmer. "The deadline to apply for these grants, up to $5 million per business, is this Thursday, March 31. We will continue working together to deliver real relief for business owners as they create jobs for Michiganders and economic prosperity for their communities."

Businesses in operation before October 1, 2019, can get up to $5 million from the grant program.

Businesses that began operations between October 1, 2019, and May 31, 2020, can get a grant equal to 25% of certain specified costs.
