STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. -- Indiana Conservation Officers and the Indiana State Police are investigating the death of a three-year-old found in Lake Arrowhead, according to a press release.
A preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Steuben County Sheriff deputies and ISP responded to a report of a child in the lake, according to detectives with Indiana State Police.
According to a press release, life-saving attempts were made until medical personnel arrived. When emergency personnel arrived to the scene the child was found unresponsive.
The Steuben County Coroner pronounced the child dead at the scene.
The investigation into the cause of the child’s death continues.
Indiana Conservation Officers, Steuben County EMS, Steuben County Coroner, Steuben County Sheriff Department assisted at the scene.
