Deputies and FBI conducting search in La Porte County

The La Porte County Sheriff’s Office and special agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation will be conducting a search in Springfield Township. They want the public to know there is no danger to the public.

The search is being conducted as part of an ongoing investigation by the two agencies.

Officials do not want residents of the township or those traveling through the area to be alarmed. The search is not related to a manhunt and there is no reason to be concerned, according to deputies.
