Deputies arrest woman for meth possession, later admits to having meth inside of her

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. – Deputies arrest a woman during a traffic stop at vacant home for active warrants and methamphetamine possession. Later, she admitted to deputies that meth inside of her body once she was transported to the LaGrange County Jail.

Mandy Jarvis was taken into custody for Level 4 Possession of Methamphetamine and three outstanding warrants, each from different counties.

On Thursday around 5:13 am, deputies were patrolling the area of 905 W and 770 N, when a car pulled into a driveway of an uninhabited home known for multiple thefts and vandalisms.

Deputies pulled the car over for an investigative stop and discovered that passenger, Jarvis, had multiple warrants for her arrest, according to the report.

Jarvis was arrested at the scene, deputies said. A K-9 conducted a “free air sniff” was conducted, which prompted a positive alert. A search of the vehicle found a small amount of meth.

Once transported to jail, Jarvis allegedly admitted to have meth inside of her body, according to deputies. She removed a large bag of meth that weight around 20 grams.

A report was filed with the LaGrange County Prosecutor.
