LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The La Porte County Sheriff's Office identified the two drivers who were involved in a head on collision Friday night on US 35.

Deputies were dispatched to the 2500 north block of US 35 at 10:20 p.m.

The investigation revealed 27-year-old Kimberly Morehouse was traveling north on US35 when her vehicle crossed the center lane and collided with a southbound Toyota Tundra driven by 45-year-old Augustin Flores-Garay of Chicago.

Both were transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Deputies say toxicology test results are pending to determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor.

The accident remains under investigation.
