Deputies investigating bank robbery in Niles

The Berrien County Sheriff's Department is investigating a robbery at the Chemical Bank on Bell Road in Niles.

Deputies say the suspect entered the bank just before 1 p.m. and approached a teller with a note.

The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and he left the bank.

The suspect is a male in his late 30s or early 40s, approximately 5-feet 8-inches tall with a medium build.

The suspect was last seen running north into the woods, deputies said.
