Deputies investigating death of school corp. treasurer

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. – Deputies from two counties are investigating the death of a Rochester woman whose body was found in a wooded area near her residence Monday.

According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, they and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the apparent suicide of 50-year-old Sherri Adamson.

Deputies said she died from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Adamson was the treasurer of the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation and was being questioned by authorities on improper use of school corporation funds.

The investigation is ongoing.
