Deputies: man found dead near Tippecanoe River died by homicide

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. – An autopsy completed on a man’s body found near the Tippecanoe River on Saturday found that the man died by homicide, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office announced.

The autopsy shows the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators believe the shooting that killed the man happened out of state and the body was abandoned in Marshall County.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending official confirmation and family notification.
