Deputies: Man injured after running stop sign

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – A man was taken to the hospital after running a stop sign and crashing into an embankment Wednesday night, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies say around 10 p.m., 68-year-old Stanley Blenke of South Bend ran the stop at Hospital Street and M-60.

Blenke crashed down an embankment near the intersection.

Officials say he was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The cause of the crash has not been released.
