Deputies seeking pickup truck in hit and run involving pedestrian

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The La Porte County Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit and run involving a pedestrian that happened Friday afternoon. They are asking for the public's help finding the suspect vehicle.

An employee of a recycling and disposal company was working in the 2900 block of CR 950 West around 1 p.m. when he was struck by a pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup truck did not stop at the scene and responding deputies were unable to locate it.

The suspect vehicle is described as an orange Dodge Ram pickup truck with an Indiana license plate. It may have damage to the passenger side mirror and door frame area.

The victim suffered minor injuries.
