BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- A Berrien County teen accused of killing her boyfriend has pleaded guilty in Court.
Destiny Coulson, 17, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. The state dismissed the felony firearms charge. Prosecutors said she shot and killed her boyfriend DJ Quinn, 21, in the face in January after a fight in his Eau Claire home.
Psych evaluations came back showing that Coulson is competent to stand trial. Steve Pierangeli, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney said that's when she decided to do a plea deal.
Coulson's sentencing is set for October 8.
