SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Planning and executing funeral arrangements for Fr. Ted has been a huge undertaking for the university because no one knows how many people will show up to pay their respects.
But University spokesman Dennis Brown said they've had crews working nonstop to set everything up to send Father Ted out in the best way possible.
The public visitation runs from Tuesday at noon until 6 p.m. and again from 9 p.m. Tuesday night until 10 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. but it's a private ceremony.
So, if you don't want to wait in the cold for the procession to the burial site (which is after the funeral) or if you can't make some of the events going on this Wednesday, tune in to ABC 57 News.
We will have coverage starting at 2 p.m. Wednesday on ABC 57 for Father Hesburgh's funeral.
We will also have coverage at 7:30 p.m. on the CW 25 for Fr. Hesburgh's memorial service.
For anyone attending the public portions of the services, you are asked to park in the Joyce or Compton parking lots, or off campus, and walk to the Golden Dome.
