Detroit chosen to be part of Goldman Sachs program

DETROIT — People who are looking to open a small business in Detroit may soon get some help with their effort.


Billionaire Warren Buffett  and the Goldman Sachs CEO announced that the city is the latest to be chosen in a national Goldman Sachs initiative.


The program will bring about $20 million in financing, training and monitorship to small businesses in Michigan.


Small business owners will have to apply to be part of the program which begins in March.
