Detroit officers' weight and bra size revealed in e-mail
DETROIT -- The Detroit Police Department is under fire for an email that shared a little too much information about some of its employees.
It was intended to collect information about bulletproof vest sizes but included information about the weight and bra sizes of several female officers
The department says the email was an unfortunate error.
"We're putting previsions in place to make sure it doesn't happen again," said Assistant Chief James White. "The commanders and the members will be encouraged that any information is vetted."
Officials plan to meet with the female officers affected.
The department is investigating but the assistant chief says he doubts the commander behind the email will be disciplined.
