Detroit Tigers player accused of assault

DETROIT -- A relief pitcher for the Detroit Tigers could be facing a judge soon.

The Wayne County Prosecutor is trying to decide whether to charge Evan Reed for sexual assault.

In March, a woman claims she was assaulted after meeting Reed at a bar.

"As with any criminal investigation that we conduct here in this department---we do submit those packages to the Wayne County prosecutor’s office for review. They make the decision wither any charges will be filed," said Detroit Police Sergeant Michael Woody.

On April 17 Reed met with Detroit Police and told his side of the story.
