Digging out of the snow

AUBURN, Maine -- The blizzard that slammed into Maine dumped enough snow to set a snowfall record for the city of Portland. In some areas, more than two feet of snow fell.

With the storm winding down, the National Weather Service has canceled the blizzard warning for the area.

The wind will remain strong which made it difficult for people to dig their way out.

"I've been in Maine since I was born, and I don't recollect it being this bad. Maybe my memory is going but I can't remember it being this bad."

This past weekend, 32 inches fell which shattered the old record of 27 inches in Jan. 1979.
