NEW CARLISLE, Ind. -- Servers at The Diner in New Carlisle donated all of their tips Wednesday night to the family of fallen firefighter Jamie Middlebrook.
Middlebrook died while fighting a fire at K-Fex, Inc. Tuesday night.
"When I was asked to give up my tips for the night, it was a definite yes, one-hundred percent," server Cathy Jimenez said.
Although a lot of people at the diner Wednesday night knew Middlebrook, those who didn't said they wanted to help in some way.
John Antonucci says Middlebrook was very generous. A few years ago, Middlebrook helped raise money for Antonucci's brother.
"We wound up raising $20,000 for my brother. It speaks volumes about that young man," said Antonucci.
