DUNLAP, Ind. -- ABC57 reporter Dante Stanton takes a deep dive into the history of Dunlap, a small census designated place in the heart of Elkhart County.
The community is often overlooked as a stopgap between the cities of Elkhart and Goshen.
But the CDP was once the county seat before it was shifted to Goshen in the 1830s.
Residents who live in the community are feeling the squeeze from Elkhart to the Northwest and Goshen to the Southeast.
Many even believe that their once thriving community is slowly fading.
ABC57 looks into what Dunlap staples are still thriving and what the future looks like for the small community.
